We won at the Lincolnshire Media Tourism Excellence Awards! 14 Mar

Ten members of the Showground team got dressed to the nines to celebrate all things tourism at the Doubletree by Hilton on Tuesday 13 March. The awards saw over 200 people gather from across Lincolnshire including hotels, tea rooms, holiday parks and bed and breakfasts.

There were eleven awards up for grabs which recognised the county’s best attractions, accommodation and retailers, as well as the excellent service they provide. The winners of each award were chosen by public vote with the exception of the overall excellence award, chosen by a panel of judges.

We were thrilled to have won the public vote for the Business Tourism Award, particularly as we were up against some tough competition!

This is what the judges had to say about the Showground: “Lincolnshire Showground is a hugely respected organisation within Lincolnshire. It has been able to demonstrate that not only is it able to bring large numbers of visitors to the county through their own events, but is also able to offer excellent facilities to other businesses. Its staff also provide support to clients in promoting their events and advise them on how to make the best use of the facilities at the venue.”
