Come and join Uncle Henry's on 11 June from 10am until 4pm for an action-packed family day out at its tenth Open Farm Sunday and discover what life is like on the farms. The main focus of Open Farm Sunday is to educate and show visitors a real 'Farm to Fork' experience by learning how food is grown. The event is free to attend and is in aid of Brigg Rotary Club and their chosen local charities.
There will be a range of exciting hands-on activities and displays throughout the day, including tractor and trailer rides, giant tortoises, pony rides, hatching chicks, food demonstrations, farm machinery displays and lots more.
There is also a fantastic range of food and drink on offer throughout the day. The Market Zone will be showcasing a range of Uncle Henry's local producers and their products, local crafts including wool spinning and candle making and there is plenty to eat with Uncle Henry's home grown jacket potato stand and hog roast, Blyton ice creams and Brigg Rotary's BBQ featuring Uncle Henry's home produced Lincolnshire sausages and burgers. In addition, there is a refreshments marquee with tea and coffee and a farmer's pond bar serving cold drinks and alcohol.
The main ring will feature falconry displays, Face your Fear with Tony Butler's exotic animals, Field of Dreams display dogs, first aid demonstrations from LIVES and a family dog show which is free to enter. Pick up a dog show entry form in store or on the day.
Visit the Nature Zone for pony rides from Laughton Woods Equestrian Centre, face painting from Grayingham Church and the Woodland Trust will be on hand with free children's activities.
Sainsbury's will also be supporting Uncle Henry's with a stand in the Main Ring with children's games, a storyteller with farming tales and delicious food samples to try throughout the day.
The Farm Zone features static machinery and the opportunity to sit inside the Combine Harvester, plus Abba Plant Hire will be showcasing their limited edition JCB.
A raffle prize draw will also take place at 4pm with all proceeds going towards Brigg Rotary Club. Tickets are on sale now at the farm shop tills or can be purchased on the day.
The Lincolnshire Showground will attend Open Farm Sunday at Uncle Henry's and will be selling advance tickets to the Lincolnshire Show at a discounted price - don't miss out!
