The story of the Lincolnshire Food & Gift Fair 30 Nov

We're a registered charity whose aims are to educate about food, farming and the countryside. The same team also organise the Lincolnshire Show, as well as a host of other events throughout the year.

Back in 2001, when the Lincolnshire Show sadly had to be cancelled due to a Foot and Mouth outbreak, the team decided that it was still important to organise an event to celebrate the county’s impressive variety of local food and drink, and to still give the agricultural community an opportunity to get together.

Fast forward 18 years and the Lincolnshire Food & Gift Fair is one of the biggest in the county! We’re proud that our two day event is now an annual date in the diary and that we welcome over 8,000 visitors to shop with over 150 talented exhibitors, hear from local choirs and watch cookery demonstrations from top chefs and producers. Just two years ago, we saw an opportunity to expand the event even further by providing lots of festive fun for our smaller visitors with the opening of Santa’s Workshop.

By attending the Lincolnshire Food & Gift Fair, you’re helping to support our charitable objectives – so thank you!

2019 is the 150th anniversary of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society and we’ll be doing more than ever throughout the year to celebrate the county we’re so proud to play a part in. Click the links to read more about our charity, educational work and membership of the Society.
