St Barnabas Hospice Colour Dash - take part at home! 15 May

The St Barnabas Hospice Colour Dash is one of our favourite events to host at the Showground. On one Saturday in May, thousands of runners are showered in colourful powder paint as they run a 5k route around the Showground, all while raising money for the important work of St Barnabas Hospice in Lincolnshire.

Due to the current Coronavirus social distancing measures, this year’s event due to take place on Saturday 16 May had to be cancelled. Despite this disappointing news, the amazing team at St Barnabas Hospice have come up with a great new way to #getmessy for hospice care at home. They’re asking people to pick a day in May or June, dress up in your brightest colours and run your own 5k in line with social distancing measures. You can take part on your own, with family or even meet with a friend and run at 2m distance from each other!

When you get home, celebrate with your own personal paint party. Make your own coloured confetti, decorate the garden, bring out the face paints and enjoy a brightly coloured picnic with your household. Make sure to tag St Barnabas Hospice in your photos, and if you can support with a donation that would be even better.

The 2021 Colour Dash is provisionally booked for Saturday 15th May at the Showground, find out more information on the St Barnabas Hospice website.
