New bands announced for the Primordial General Mayhem 2022 07 Feb

Primordial Radio, the UK's Premier Rock & Metal station, is very excited to announce eleven new bands for the Primordial General Mayhem 2022.

This includes very special guest DEVIN TOWNSEND (ACOUSTIC), and melodic post-hardcore sextet AS EVERYTHING UNFOLDS.

They will be joined by hardcore/crossover thrash newcomers (feat. members of TesseracT and Eths) CAGE FIGHT, modern metal newcomers DEFECTS, alternative hip hop / punk rapper DELILAH BON and hotly tipped metal quartet HAWXX. Also joining the bill is industrial metalheads RED METHOD, Welsh rockers SCARLET REBELS, alt-rock powerhouse TRIBELESS, fast-rising UK based unit VEXED and energetic power punk band XL LIFE.

They join the line-up of headliners DINOSAUR PILE-UP and THOSE DAMN CROWS as well as London grime punks BOB VYLAN, rising Nottingham-based rock quartet AS DECEMBER FALLS, Primordial Radio’s No.1 most Up-Voted artist of 2020 MILLIE MANDERS & THE SHUTUP, genre crossover innovators SEETHING AKIRA, UK melodic metallers SKARLETT RIOT and theatrical performers WARD XVI.

Primordial Radio's Music & Content Director, Pete Bailey – "YESSSSSSS!!!!! This is really happening, Devin Townsend (Acoustic) as a very special guest at the Primordial General Mayhem! We love Dev here at Primordial Radio, it’s an honour to have him on board for what we’re sure will be a very special intimate acoustic set.

We’re also hugely excited to have completed the bill with SO many incredible additions, to see a bill this diverse for our biggest event to date is amazing. I can’t wait to see them all smash it and I know the Primordial community will give them a welcome like they’ve never had before, see you in April!

The Primordial General Mayhem 2022 is taking place on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd April 2022 inside a state-of-the-art venue (The Epic Centre) at Lincolnshire Showground.

DINOSAUR PILE-UP is set to deliver a blistering headline set on Saturday. The band is riding high from the release of their fourth album Celebrity Mansions, performing at Download Festival and touring the US with Shinedown.

THOSE DAMN CROWS will be headlining on Friday night. They are following in the footsteps of some of the worlds most renowned rock bands. Their album 'Point of No Return' stormed into the UK national chart at #14 on its release in February 2020, with broad praise from both fans and critics.

As well as these incredible headliners, we're delighted to have very special guest DEVIN TOWNSEND (ACOUSTIC), London grime punks BOB VYLAN, melodic post-hardcore sextet AS EVERYTHING UNFOLDS, rising Nottingham-based rock quartet AS DECEMBER FALLS, and Primordial Radio’s No.1 most Up-Voted artist of 2020 MILLIE MANDERS & THE SHUTUP.

Also performing across the weekend is CAGE FIGHT, DEFECTS, DELILAH BON, HAWXX, RED METHOD, SCARLET REBELS, SEETHING AKIRA, SKARLETT RIOT, TRIBELESS, VEXED and XL LIFE.

Launched in 2018 as a one-day event with just three bands and then expanding to four bands in 2019 and selling out in 2020 / 2021 with headliners Skindred it’s been quite the ride to get to this point, 2022 will see the Primordial General Mayhem expanding to 2 days, with 20 bands across 2 stages and no clashes.

Situated inside a state-of-the-art venue at the Lincolnshire Showground inside The Epic Centre, the Primordial General Mayhem offers gig-goers from the rock & metal community a chance to experience the exhilaration of an intimate indoor gig alongside the fun and atmosphere of a festival.

With all music taking place indoors but with camping and glamping available, this is the best of both worlds!
