McCallums to launch Toffee Gin Liqueur at Food and Gift Fair 23 Nov

The Doncaster-based business will be introducing their Toffee Gin Liqueur for the first time, and hopes to follow on from the success of their existing products.

The ever-growing range of flavours have already proved a success with customers and experts alike. Earlier this year, the Raspberry & Sloe Gin Liqueur and Yorkshire Rhubarb & Apple Gin Liqueur both receiving one-star accolades at the 2018 Great Taste Awards.

A winter warmer

McCallums’ gin liqueurs are a versatile addition to any drinks’ cabinet. They can be mixed to create a refreshing summer drink, or savoured as a warming winter tipple. The Toffee Gin Liqueur certainly falls into the latter category and is expected to be a firm favourite among Christmas shoppers looking for something a little different to give their loved ones.

“Our Toffee Gin Liqueur really is ideal for this time of year,” explained David McCallum, Owner of McCallums Gin Liqueurs and McCallums Farm Shop. “We’ve been conscious not to make the liqueur too sweet and believe we’ve managed to perfectly balance the flavour so it can be enjoyed neat or as part of a cocktail.”

The liqueur is described as having a smooth texture, bringing together both warmth and caramel sweetness. The unmistakable and luxurious taste of English toffee makes this a truly decadent drink.

Attending the show

Samples of the new liqueur will be available at the Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair, along with the opportunity to purchase the new flavour. Bottles are available in two sizes – 350ml and 700ml – and would make an ideal Christmas gift for gin lovers.

“We can’t wait to get direct feedback from people attending the show, especially with this being a brand-new product” David noted. “Events such as the Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair are the perfect opportunity to find out what people think about our flavours ... and we often come away with some new serving suggestions!”

Who are McCallums Liqueurs?

McCallums Liqueurs manufactures and bottles their gin liqueurs on a 15-acre fruit farm, which also offers an on-site shop and cafe, as well as a pick your own fruit farm during the summer months.

Using English gin of the highest standard, the liqueurs are made using fruit that has been harvested from the farm, or sourced from other local growers. Low-volume production means McCallums can remain in control of quality, keeping an eye on every stage of production.

McCallums will be showcasing their full range of products at the Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair on 1st and 2nd December.
