Looking forward to 2017 03 Jan
We're always delighted to welcome events back to the Showground, and we're already looking very busy for the year ahead, including the return of Race for Life, The Epic Wedding Show, Pretty Muddy, Arthur Swallow Antiques, the St Barnabas Colour Dash and the Lincolnshire Horse Trials - plus much more.
We're proud to have sponsored the Knights Trail - it'll be a great addition to Lincoln's tourism calendar. The Education Trail will launch at the 133rd Lincolnshire Show, and we're sure that schools will love seeing their half-size knights on display when they visit.
It's great to see other local venues attract big names to perform as it raises Lincoln's profile and will help us to continue bringing concerts to the area. Lincoln Castle and Market Rasen Racecourse have both announced live music acts for 2017, and along with The Human League here at the Showground, we're confident that it's a continuing trend.
The events industry is changing, and with a significant change in CDM regulations we're working hard to support and educate event organisers to ensure that all events which fall under these regulations run smoothly. Following our re-brand a couple of years ago, our marketing team have redeveloped the Lincolnshire Showground website to make it easier to navigate, more user friendly, and also to give more emphasis on the experience and knowledge we can share with event organisers. We've had drone footage taken of the Showground to create a new promotional video, and there are further developments continuing throughout 2017, as we continue to strengthen our brand both locally and further afield.
2017 also welcomes the return of our own events - the Lincolnshire Farming Conference, Countryside Lincs, the Lincolnshire Show and the Lincolnshire Food & Gift Fair. Don't forget to save the dates!
Finally, one of the most exciting collaborations for us in 2017 is the Scampton Air Show, for which we're providing the car parking facilities. We're very excited to be working with the organisers to support this great celebration of Lincolnshire's aviation history.
