Lincolnshire Agricultural Society Combines Team Spirit with Community Impact on Sutton-on-Sea Beach 25 Jan

The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society (LAS) has always been dedicated to celebrating and supporting our local community, and our recent team-building day at Sutton-on-Sea Beach was no exception. With a shared goal of giving back to the community and showcasing the beauty of our coastline, the LAS team partnered with a local charity to participate in a rewarding beach clean-up event. This initiative was not just about environmental stewardship; it also marked the beginning of the exciting lead-up to the 140th Lincolnshire Show and the much-anticipated return of the Beach at this year's Show, following the successful implementation in its first year.

Making Waves for the Environment

Armed with litter pickers, gloves, and an abundance of enthusiasm, our team took to the golden sands of Sutton-on-Sea. Working alongside a dedicated local charity that champions the preservation of our beaches, we collected everything from discarded plastics such as an empty Roses tin and so much more, ensuring the beach remains a haven for wildlife and a picturesque escape for visitors.

Team Building with a Purpose

Working together in the crisp sea air (and let me tell you, it was Crisp on a rainy January day!), we fostered a sense of camaraderie and purpose, reinforcing our commitment to the Society’s core values of community, sustainability, and collaboration. We then treated ourselves to some fish and chips, it would have been rude not to, whilst at the Lincolnshire Coast!

The Road to the 140th Lincolnshire Show

The day also marked the start of the promotional journey for the landmark 140th Lincolnshire Show, set to take place on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th June 2025. We’re thrilled to announce the return of a beloved new feature—the Beach to the Show. Bringing the spirit of the coast to the Lincolnshire Showground, this interactive feature promises to be a highlight for visitors of all ages. Our beach clean-up at Sutton-on-Sea perfectly set the tone for this celebration, blending environmental care with the excitement of upcoming festivities.

Join Us in the Celebration

The 140th Lincolnshire Show is shaping up to be an unforgettable event, and the return of the Beach to the Show will be a special tribute to our region’s coastal charm. We invite everyone to join us to celebrate Lincolnshire’s rich heritage, diverse communities, and the incredible landscapes that make our county so unique.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue the countdown to this historic milestone. Together, let’s make the 140th Lincolnshire Show a celebration to remember!
