Lincoln Tea and Coffee at the Lincolnshire Show 23 May

Lincolnshire Tea is a special blend of high grown tea from East Africa and the fertile floodplains of the Brahmaputra in Assam. Carefully selected quality teas, blended and taste tested in the traditional way, to achieve a brilliant colour and exceptional flavour even when brewed with the hardest water.

“Since being involved at the show last year, Lincolnshire Tea has had a busy year” said company founder Susie Carlisle. “We set out to create a fantastic tea which people could really enjoy and the response has been rather overwhelming. Since the Lincolnshire Show in 2018, it has been awarded two Great Taste awards, we have moved to new larger business premises and most importantly we have received the most amazing comments from people drinking and enjoying it. The most recent being ‘It is such a light but refreshing tea. It is so perfect that I will be buying it online forever. I recommend it to all my friends. Best tea ever!’’

There was a fabulous end to the year in October with national recognition for Lincolnshire tea. After an unprecedented number of entries and four months of rigorous shortlisting, testing and tasting, the results of The Great British Food Awards 2018 were in. Lincolnshire Tea was awarded the prestigious ‘Highly Commended’ title by celebrity judge, chef and food writer Valentine Warner. The only tea to be amongst the award-winning products. The Lincoln Tea and Coffee Company dream for Lincolnshire Tea to be enjoyed nationally and to help spread the word about the fantastic products produced in Lincolnshire and this was a major step in achieving this.

So, what for 2019? This year has been just as busy at Lincolnshire Tea HQ. Taking on additional members of staff, named winners of the ‘Taste of Lincolnshire’ at the Tourism Excellence Awards, supporting a DIY SOS project by serving Lincolnshire Tea and their new fresh coffee bags and being invited to Westminster to showcase Lincolnshire Tea to MPs after being named an East Midlands Food Hero as well as supporting an ever increasing number of customers to sell and serve their products. They have also begun to roll out the new 100% compostable paper bags too which is a huge achievement in the paper tea bag industry.

Winning the Select Lincolnshire Wholesaler of the Year Award last year for the third year running shows their commitment and passion for the supply of the finest quality of Tea, coffee, coffee machines, training and so much more. Susie said, ‘We are so passionate about what we do, and we are all having fun at the same time!’

When talking to Susie it also becomes very clear that the company love to support the community. The Lincoln Tea and Coffee Company donate coffee to Lindum Rotary to help raise money at the Lincoln Christmas Market and support many Macmillan fund raising events too. Susie lost her father to cancer in 2014 and this is a charity very close to her heart.
