Couple revisit county show to celebrate 50th anniversary 13 Jun

After competing in private driving at the Lincolnshire Show every year for more than 7 years, the annual county show is at the hearts of local couple Colin and Valerie Stevens, who are revisiting this year as part of the celebrations to mark their 50th wedding anniversary.

It's been an action-packed year for the couple so far, who, since celebrating their milestone anniversary in February, have visited various countries attending events and taking part in activities - including Crufts dog show, zip wiring and Chester Races. Now, Colin and Valerie are gearing up for a visit to Norfolk Broads before travelling to the Lincolnshire Show for the first time in more than 20 years.

This year the couple are returning to the Lincolnshire Show with a Joint Membership to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, which means they will be able to enjoy the breath-taking entertainment, shopping, local produce and prestigious livestock and equine classes in style. Colin said: "The Lincolnshire Show has always made us feel welcome so we're excited to return as visitors for the first time since competing in private driving more than 20 years ago.

"We always enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance of the entire Show - it's so well organised and such a lovely event. This year we're looking forward to having a nice walk round and seeing everything that's on offer."

We can't wait to welcome Colin and Valerie back to the 2017 Lincolnshire Show on 21 & 22 June - and from all of the #LincsShowgirls and #LincsShowboys, a huge congratulations on celebrating your 50th wedding anniversary!
