Action-packed Sports Zone at the Lincolnshire Show 31 May
Contributed by Active Lincolnshire
The Sports Zone aims to cater for everyone with a huge emphasis on fun activities. This year Lincolnshire Show visitors can also try their hand at golf and badminton, or challenge their friends and family to a game of human table football.
Lucy Blakey, Project Officer at Active Lincolnshire, said: "We're really excited to be back at the Lincolnshire Show again this year and are pleased to say we've got even more activities for everyone to stuck in with.
"Last year more than 4,000 people visited our Sports Zone and we're hoping even more visitors will come and get active with us this year. We've got something for everyone whatever your age or ability, so come along and say hello."
Active Lincolnshire works with a variety of sports organisations, clubs and National Governing Bodies to provide as many activities as possible at the Lincolnshire Show. This year the NK Outreach team are joining in with Parkour and different activities.
Rachel Belcher, Client Manager (Community) at Active Lincolnshire, said: "We love coming to the Lincolnshire Show each year, the atmosphere is always great whether the sun in shining or it's pouring rain and it gives us a chance to work with our partners and engage more people in activity.
"We recently launched a new target of getting 20,021 more people more active by 2021 and we're hoping that our Sports Zone will entice Lincolnshire Show visitors to take up a new sport or activity after they've gone home."
The fun doesn't have to stop once the Show is over... anyone can access the Sports Equipment Library which operates all year round. Visit library.activelincolnshire.com to see the full library or contact library@activelincolnshire.com
We look forward to seeing you at the Lincolnshire Show!
