Sunday Funday - all you need to know! 08 Sep

Families can expect a fun-filled day out at Sunday Funday on Sunday 20 September.

When is Sunday Funday and where is it?

Sunday Funday is at the Lincolnshire Showground, Grange-de-Lings, Lincoln, LN2 2NA, on Sunday 20 September from 9.30am – 4.30pm.

What is it?

Sunday Funday will allow families to enjoy the spacious, family friendly, countryside area at the Lincolnshire Showground on Sunday 20 September, with a whole host of attractions and delicious local food and drink stands.

Visitors will be able to watch entertainment in the countryside ring from Derek Tindall Birds of Prey, meet giant tortoises, listen to storytelling and shop for local food, drink and crafts at their day out at the showground.

Families can take part in a trail to explore the cathedral wood area and learn all about the local wildlife, see farm machinery from across the ages and learn all about survival techniques from Wild Woodcraft. Attendees will also have the chance to watch cookery demonstrations in the Lincolnshire Kitchen from Ladies in Pigs and shop for local produce and handmade crafts in the indoor food and craft market.

Over in the Sports Area, Kixx will be bringing a football course for children to learn new skills, there will be yoga classes from Precious Moments Baby Massage, a crazy golf course and visitors are encouraged to bring their bikes to cycle around the bike area.

Foodies can enjoy freshly made crepes from Fleur’s Kitchen, homemade lamb burgers from Gelston Lamb, delicious sweet and savoury toasties from Nice ‘n’ Toastie and coffee and waffles from Love Coffee and Bails Barista.

How much are tickets for Sunday Funday?

Tickets are priced at £10 per person, £35 for a family and under 5’s go free.

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes - families are welcome to bring a picnic along to enjoy in our picnic area, there will also be a host of hot and cold food stalls from local and well-known producers.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome to come along to Sunday Funday, however they must be kept on a fixed, short lead at all times. Unfortunately, dogs will not be allowed into the indoor food and craft market, except for assistance dogs.

What Covid-19 measures are in place?

A thorough risk assessment has been carried out in line with Covid-19 guidance and all steps have been taken to mitigate the risk of any transmission. Hand sanitiser and hand-wash stations will be available throughout the event, social distancing signage will be clearly displayed around the showground and visitors will be required to wear a mask or face covering in our indoor venues.
