Lincolnshire Showground invests in a sustainable future 04 Nov

At the Lincolnshire Showground we have taken steps to reduce our energy consumption and lower our carbon emissions for the local community. As a business we have recently invested in LED lighting that has been installed in our Epic Centre building replacing our inefficient old fluorescent lighting. Installing the new lighting has enabled us to save up to 65% of energy used for lighting, 10.8 tonnes of carbon a year and approximately £2,360 in energy bill costs. 

To help us invest in these energy saving measures we are extremely grateful to have had support from Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire, receiving a grant of £12,300.93 to enable us to make these changes.

The £9.2 million Smart Energy programme has been part funded by the European Regional Development fund. This is enabling small to medium businesses across the Greater Lincolnshire area invest in energy saving technology.
