Lincolnshire Food & Gift Fair - times, tickets and all you need to know 19 Nov

With more than 8,000 people expected to attend and advanced tickets on sale, here’s everything you need to know to make sure you don’t miss out on the action.

When is the Lincolnshire Food & Gift Fair?

Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 December.

Doors open from 9am to 4pm on both days.

What is it?

Held at the Lincolnshire Showground, the two-day event is now in its 18th year and has over 150 exhibitor stands. As one of the biggest food and gift fairs in the county, the Fair will showcase a range of delicious treats and unique gift ideas, perfect for the holiday season.

The popular event will also offer free festive entertainment for the little ones, including hands-on-crafts and baking activities and will also give Christmas shoppers the chance to sample delicious Lincolnshire produce - from cheese to wine, to chocolate and gin. 

Live performances will be carried out by a number of local choirs and the Lincolnshire Kitchen will be brought to life by top chefs and producers who will be demonstrating some of their favourite festive recipes and sharing their top tips on how to make the perfect Christmas dinner.

The Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair is organised by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, a registered charity whose aims are to educate visitors about food, farming and the countryside.

What are some of the highlights for 2018?

One of the highlights will be the return of Santa’s Workshop, an area dedicated to children, packed with free craft activities and non-stop entertainment.

Children will be able to make their very own reindeer food at the reindeer food bar and can also get stuck in with gingerbread decorating with Lincoln based business, Ticklebelly Lane Bakery.

Local exhibitor Lincolnshire Willow will also be adding a sprinkle of magic to the festive event with a wand making workshop, while The Little Pottery Studio will be encouraging creativity with Christmas pottery painting sessions.

Families and children can also listen to an extract from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs read by the stars of the New Theatre Royal Lincoln’s Christmas Pantomime. Visitors can meet the panto stars, have a photo and be entertained by CBBC favourites Chris Johnson (Muddles) and Barney Harwood (The Huntsman).

Lincolnshire Showground, Grange-de-Lings, Lincoln, LN2 2NA.

How much are tickets and parking?

Advanced tickets are priced at £5 or £6 if you buy them on the gate.

All under 16s go free.

Parking is also free.

Is it indoors or outdoors?

The event is held across two indoor halls.

Can I get something to eat at the Fair?

Yes, the two buildings are joined together by a covered walkway which hosts hot food stands including Boston Sausage, Curry Jacks, The Duck Truck, Greek Souvlaki, Yellowbelly Sausage Co and more.

Is the Lincolnshire Food & Gift Fair suitable for people with mobility issues?

Limited blue badge parking is available on hardstanding, and forward parking will be available on grass once this is full. The Showground has disabled toilet facilities in both buildings and lift access to the first floor of the Epic Centre. All of the event is held indoors and is suitable for visitors with mobility issues.

Can I bring my dog?

As this event is held indoors, we only permit entry for assistance dogs.

Can I withdraw cash at the event?

Cashback will be available from the ticket booth when buying your tickets or making a small purchase.
