Inspiring the Next Generation at Ag Careers Event 05 Feb
The Lincolnshire Showground played host to an inspiring and action-packed Ag Careers event yesterday, welcoming 744 students ranging from Year 9 to Masters level University students. With 35 exhibitors showcasing the vast opportunities within the agricultural sector, the event provided a unique platform for young people to explore careers in food, farming, and beyond.
Highlighting the importance of career development and innovation in agriculture, students were captivated by a series of keynote speakers who shared their personal journeys into the industry. Inspiring talks from Mee Blueberries, McCain, and Harper Adams University shed light on the diverse paths available and the exciting opportunities awaiting the next generation.
Engaging workshops provided hands-on experiences, including a session on brand identity and packaging led by Dyson Farming and an immersive ‘Day in the Life of a Farm Vet’ workshop. These sessions aimed to bridge the gap between education and industry, equipping students with insights into the real-world applications of their studies.
