Acts of kindness from friends of the Showground 27 Mar

We've seen so many amazing acts of kindness in the last few weeks to help the current Coronavirus situation, and no matter how big or small, anything helps!

Here is a list of local Lincolnshire businesses who are 'doing their bit' to help in any way they can..

Pin Gin

Lincolnshire Show regulars and winners of our Grow with the Show competition in 2019, Bottomley Distillers (the creators of Pin Gin) have commenced a full commercial production to make hand sanitiser for those in need. Our friends over at Bottomley Distillers have said they aim to produce 10,000 units of hand sanitiser after the supermarket shelves have been emptied due to the coronavirus crisis. They have allocated a set amount that they are donating to the Louth community in need and other local groups including LIVES. Amazing work from Pin Gin!

Lincoln Gin

Matt Felgate, owner of Lincoln Gin is also producing hand sanitiser. The team at Lincoln Gin have been making quantities of hand gel from their high strength alcohol, they will be donating to those working with or caring for individuals who are vulnerable or have underlying health conditions. Lincoln Gin exhibit at the Lincolnshire Show and our annual Food and Gift Fair, we are so proud to work with such a wonderful company.

Cote Hill Cheese

Our friends over at Cote Hill Cheese are helping those who are self-isolating and are offering local delivery of their cheese, milk, eggs, and local jams & honey. Cote Hill are regulars at all our Lincolnshire Agricultural Society events and we are big fans of their delicious cheeses!

The Salted Orange Food Company

The Salted Orange Food Company have partnered with Age UK to provide a food delivery service to over-65s in the Lincoln and South Lincolnshire area. They are providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, 5 days a week for only £20 for those self-isolating, find out more here.

Healing Manor

Healing Manor are dropping essentials such as bread and eggs off at hospitals in their local area. The owners of Healing Manor have been long supporters of the Showground, and we love everything they do! They have asked on Facebook to get in touch if anyone needs any essentials, get in touch here.
