A new #LincsShowGirl joins the team! 18 Jan

Gemma’s role will involve managing the Showground’s social media channels, writing press releases for our events, finding stories to create engaging blog posts, administration of our websites, and much more!

A little bit about Gemma…

I’m Lincolnshire born and bred apart from a 3 year stint in Bristol where I completed my degree in Marketing at the University of the West of England. I’ve always been passionate about marketing since studying it during my Business A-Level, and I knew I’d made the right decision to study it at university as I thoroughly enjoyed my course!

What was your role before coming to the Lincolnshire Showground?

Before joining the showground, my first job after graduating was as Marketing Administrator for England Golf and then as Marketing Assistant at Lincolnshire County Council. I developed my marketing experience and a range of skills in these roles which I can bring to my new position at the Showground.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

Definitely the Lincolnshire Show! I visited the show a lot when I was in school and I’m so excited to get stuck in this year and experience a show from behind the scenes. You’ll probably see me running around trying to find the best stories to add to our blog and creating live updates for our social media channels.

What do you do in your spare time?

One of my goals for 2018 is to run a 10k, so you might find me trying to up my fitness levels at my local gym this year. I also enjoy going on weekend adventures with my friends and family as I hate being stuck indoors! I love summer and basking in the heat so you will probably find me planning my next trip abroad to an exotic location.
