1000+ school children to take part in Construction Week Taster Events 21 Sep

The 27th, 28th and 29th of September will see the Lincolnshire Showground buzzing with the activities of 'small builders'. The Lincoln Group Training Association, in partnership with The EBP and Construction Industry Training Board is giving over 1,000 local school children the chance to take part in a number of construction challenges ranging from designing a lighthouse to constructing a bridge.

These three days will give year 6 to year 11 students from Lincolnshire schools a taste of the variety of careers available in the construction industry. Students are allocated four activities from the menu of twenty plus on offer, and will be introduced and guided through the events by professionals working in the industry today. They will not only have the opportunity to try out different disciplines, but also the chance to question the activity leaders about how they got into the industry and what it's like on a day-to-day basis!
