Celebrity chef Dean Edwards is among guests at huge new food and family festival arriving this autumn 25 Jul

The event will even combine a children’s ‘Fun Village’, so everyone in the family can have a great day out. The new festival will be held at Lincolnshire Showground on September 8-9. Among the famous faces heading along will be TV's Dean Edwards, who you may have seen on Market Kitchen, Saturday Cookbook and Good Morning Britain. He is also a regular on ITV's Lorraine and came to prominence after coming second in BBC's Masterchef Goes Large in 2006.

Described as a family festival, organiser Gary Allen, says: "We are working with local businesses to put together a festival that not only covers food and drink but family activities, music and a vast array of shows over a weekend of fun."

Visitors will find food producers and street food across five areas of the Showground, including an indoor seated theatre where TV chefs and bakers will demonstrate alongside local food heroes and some of the county’s top chefs and bakers. Names like Dean Edwards and Molly Robbins from Channel 4's Extreme Cake Makers will be appearing, as well as The Lincolnshire Chef Steve Bennett and owners of Browns Pie Shop in Lincoln.

For children, the Fun Village will have a garden theme where there will be stage shows from Peter Rabbit and Mr Bloom over the weekend with a chance to meet and greet. Along with the shows there will be children’s gardening including bee friendly flower planting and baking workshops. For adults, workshops will come from local gin company Pin Gin, with wine tasting classes by Lincoln Wine School and Hanwell Wine Estate. Each day there will be a line-up of local artists on the main stage of the festival area, chilli eating contests by the world famous Chilli Bobs and a selection of traditional fairground rides, all completed with an array of bars, artisan coffee stands and food vendors.

Advance tickets: Standard £6; under 15s free; four person offer £5 per person. Parking is free of charge. Buy tickets HERE.
