As the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society we're proud of our county and everything it offers and are passionate about celebrating our wonderful county, so have organised a school event providing unique hands-on learning experiences focused on Lincolnshire.

The Parish of Boston - St Botolph's Church: Children will take part in a short singing workshop followed by a slideshow and talk. The children will also design their own stained glass window to take away.

Cathedral Mushrooms: Teaching the lifecycle from beginning to end in a hands-on workshop led with an emphasis on the healthy benefits of mushrooms in our diet. Children will learn where mushrooms come from, what they eat, how they reproduce and what nutrients they provide.
Flowers by Suzanne: To create a floral arrangement display and sow how a florist creates designs and displays. Children will also learn flower names.

Lincolnshire Willow: Children can enjoy weaving small fish and leaf shapes with willow grown in Lincolnshire. Willow weaving is a local heritage craft.

Bridge Farm: A workshop learning about how we grow plants in our glasshouse, how to grow plants sustainably, and planting up a container to take home.

LCC HAF Team: The HAF Team will deliver food and nutrition education workshops promoting the ‘Eat Well Plate’, ‘Positive Food Choices’ and a sugar activity linking to oral health.

Nunny's Farm: Children will look at comparisons and the way that animals have evolved to the different environments that they live in. Children will also design new animals and why they look the way they do.

Shedtime Handcrafted Leatherwork: Students will get hands-on to decorate a leather bookmark. They will make an individual piece and use a variety of stamping tools and techniques for a design of their choice.
