Primary Schools

We organise a range of events for Primary Schools all of which are designed to encompass many elements of the National Curriculum.

Take a look at the different events that we offer, all of which provide fun, engaging and innovative ways to stimulate Key Stage 1 and 2 students.

Lincolnshire Day

The Lincolnshire Day school event is all about celebrating what’s great about our fantastic county, from Lincolnshire’s food, farming, heritage, culture and sport.

Each year we invite schools to come and visit the Lincolnshire Showground in October to celebrate Lincolnshire Day. Students take part in a carefully timetabled day, working in small groups across a selection of unique hands-on learning workshops led by Lincolnshire renowned businesses and organisations.

The event is suitable for Primary, KS2 groups.

Breakfast Week

Each year in November we deliver Breakfast Week. Schools from across the county are invited onto the Lincolnshire Showground for a bespoke morning programme of interactive workshops and cookery sessions focused on the most important meal of the day – breakfast!

Every student will experience cooking their own special healthy breakfast using locally-sourced ingredients, learn about the farm-to-fork journey and discover more about health and nutrition.

Spaces are limited to 30 students per day and the event is suitable for KS2 groups.

Tractors into Schools

In 2023, 3,642 students from 39 Lincolnshire schools were visited by a farmer and their tractor during our popular Tractors into Schools initiative.

In partnership with the Lincolnshire Young Farmers, the tractor visit allows schools and the farming community to connect, with farmers sharing their story and enlightening students about the role the tractor plays in agriculture and delivering food to our tables.
