We're celebrating International Women's Day on 8 March with lunch and talks from a number of inspiring local women, hosted by Rachel Green #IWD2019
International Women’s Day is a growing global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. At the Showground, we're celebrating those who either work in the world of agriculture, or who have achieved something fantastic from their Lincolnshire roots, with a two course lunch followed by an afternoon of networking and inspirational stories.
Hosted by Rachel Green
Rachel is an award-winning chef, local food campaigner, food stylist, TV celebrity (four TV series) and author (Making The Most of The Great British Sausage, the Chatsworth Cookery Book). Her family have been farming in Lincolnshire for 14 generations. Rachel’s mother is a brilliant cook and her grandmother before that. Rachel picked up her first kitchen utensils when she was little more than a toddler. And when she wasn’t experimenting in the kitchen, she was out lambing the ewes, shooting game or skinning a deer. Rachel believes in getting stuck into cooking. Proper, grass-roots cooking
Alison is the General Manager for BAE Systems at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. She also leads the transformation activity underway with the UK MOD. Since joining in 2010, Alison has held a number of roles including leading the Technical Services Department supporting the Typhoon & Tornado forces.

After growing up surrounded by farming in North Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders before settling back in Lincolnshire, Kelly lost her way slightly before beginning her studies at Harper Adams University. After 12 years with ADAS, she has now been a Catchment Advisor for Anglian Water for four years.
