Spread the word! #CountrysideLincs23
Our favourite family event, Countryside Lincs, is back on Sunday 16 April!
Join us for a fun-filled family day out with plenty of interactive indoor and outdoor activities and workshops to discover a flavour of food, farming and the countryside. Jam-packed with animals, activities, experiences and entertainment for all the family – it’s an event not to be missed!
Countryside Lincs is hosted by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, organisers of the Lincolnshire Show and held at the Lincolnshire Showground.
There will be eight different zones for children to explore around the Showground with demonstrations and hands-on workshops, plus an action-packed timetable of displays in the Countryside Ring – including a BMX stunt show and falconry display!
Children can meet their favourite farmyard animals both large and small in our Farmyard Zone, see the magnificent tractors and farm machinery from across the ages in the Tractor Zone or have a go on our mini-tractor obstacle course.
Over in the Countryside Zone, you can see incredible birds of prey and be educated and entertained with the dancing sheep in the Sheep Show!
Get creative in the Make-It Zone with lots of rural and traditional craft activities to have a go at, and the little explorers can discover more about the land, countryside and community in the Explore-It Zone. With lots of sporting activities on offer, you can test your skills and get active in the Sports Zone.
In the Food Zone you will learn about where your food comes from through the ‘field to fork’ journey, and some of our favourite local producers will be teaching you about the tricks of the trade on how to make pasties, jams and chutneys or fudge! Budding chefs can take part in some hands-on cookery workshops in the Lincolnshire Kitchen, taking home their delicious creations afterwards.
Take the grown-ups to our Indoor Food and Craft Market so they can get their hands on their favourite local treats such as tasty pies, local Lincolnshire cheeses and a whole range of homemade crafts.
Don’t forget to take a ride around the Showground on our popular tractor and trailer and get involved with our Easter egg hunt!
You’re welcome to bring along a picnic for your day out at Countryside Lincs, but we also have plenty of hot and cold food on offer for our visitors.
With dozens of activities to get involved in across our indoor and outdoor zones, we promise a fun-filled day out for all the family, whatever the weather.
