We're recruiting: Operations Manager

We are recruiting for a Senior Manager on the operational side of the business.

The Lincolnshire Showground is home to the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, a charity whose main objectives are to promote Food, Farming and the Countryside. It hosts a wide range of events from concerts, conferences and exhibitions through to company training days, educational events and awards dinners as well as the flagship event, The Lincolnshire Show.

A rare opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager. This is a vital role and requires someone who has an innovative forward-thinking approach, strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to engage and motivate others and the drive to achieve top quality results.

Reporting directly to the CEO; this is a wide-ranging role with a diverse level of responsibilities. 

The successful candidate will be involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations. They will oversee the management of the Grounds and Facilities team and contractors to ensure we deliver high standards of service.  Experience in producing and monitoring maintenance and capital budgets, as well as the ability to negotiate and review contracts with both new and existing suppliers. A thorough understanding of relevant health and safety legislation is essential.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player, as well as possessing excellent organisational and communication skills. Excellent problem-solving with a good practical approach and ideally at least 3 years in a management role. Knowledge of working in the events industry would be desirable but not essential.
