First sponsors unveiled for third Lincolnshire Rural Charities Dinner 14 Dec

The event will raise funds for three Lincolnshire charities: the Jon Egging Trust, the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, which will celebrate its 150th birthday in 2019 and Lincolnshire Rural Support Network. The evening’s theme, “Past, Present and Future” will feature a meal of local produce, designed and introduced by the Lincolnshire Chef, Steven Bennett and guests will enjoy fine food, great fun and entertainment.

The organisers are pleased to announce the first four sponsors for the event which will be held at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground on Thursday 11 April 2019. Tickets are on sale now at £800 for tables of 10 or £80 for individual tickets. For more information on ticket sales, please email della.armstrong@lrsn.co.uk.

Chair of the organising committee, Meryl Ward, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our first four corporate sponsors. They all supported our efforts in 2016 when we raised more than £40,000; now we want to build on that success and our aim is to raise even more money for the charities involved this year The third Lincolnshire Rural Charities dinner will provide a memorable and unique way to tell their stories and by raising money for them, will enable them to continue the great work they do in the county.”

The four sponsors are:

Limagrain, based at Rothwell in the Lincolnshire Wolds, is the Dinner’s Champagne Reception Sponsor. The company is the UK’s leading plant breeder and seed producer; under the LG brand, cereals, maize, oilseed rape, peas and beans, vining peas, forage, root crops and environmental seeds are produced and marketed to farmers and growers in the UK and beyond. Limagrain is a farmer-owned business – it is the fourth largest plant breeder and seed marketing company in the world – employing 10,000 people and with an annual turnover of more than 2.5 billion euros.

Three Dinner Sponsors have been announced: they are Brown and Co, Smailes Goldie Turner and Wilkin Chapman, all three have previously sponsored the event and we are grateful for their continued support.

Brown & Co is a leading provider of land agency, professional and consultancy services across the whole range of rural, commercial and residential property, agriculture and the environment in the Midlands and East of England. With offices in Romania, Poland and the Caribbean, the company offers an international service, too. Farming is supported through land agency services, business support, environmental and land management advice and the company has offices in the county at Brigg, Grantham and Spalding.

Smailes, Goldie Turner are agricultural accountants based in Barton upon Humber and Hull. They offer accountancy, business advice, business support services and tax advice, tailored to individual businesses’ needs. Farming clients benefit both from in-depth farming sector expertise and the company’s broader commercial knowledge and experience including on specialist areas of advice such as inheritance and capital gains tax, tenancies, contract and share farming arrangements.

The third Dinner Sponsor is Wilkin Chapman LLP, one of the largest law firms in Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire with 45 partners and over 400 staff. The firm has a network of six offices covering theregion, with its registered office in Grimsby, and additional offices located in Lincoln, Beverley,Louth, Alford and Horncastle.
