Countryside Lincs at the Lincolnshire Showground

Countryside Lincs

Our favourite family event, Countryside Lincs, is back on Sunday 10 April!

There will be nine different zones for children to explore around the Showground, plus an action-packed timetable of displays in the Countryside Ring – including the Barlow Red Barrows and a BMX stunt show!

Meet farmyard animals large and small in our Farmyard Zone, including cows, sheep, horses, a goat and her kids and guinea pigs. Come and say hello to some poultry, rabbits, cavies and waterfowl. Explore our brand-new Village Green and have a go at traditional games, get involved with our circus workshops or test your rugby skills!

See tractors and farm machinery from across the ages in the Tractor Zone or have a go on our mini-tractor obstacle course. Over in the Countryside Zone, you can try your hand at country sports, see incredible birds of prey or take an alpaca for a walk! Meet hedgehogs and learn all about them or get involved in primitive bushcraft activities.

Explore the Make It and Explore It Zones, packed full of lots of different hands-on activities. Discover dormice and mini-beasts or have a go at making your own marble pendant.

Across the path, enter the Food Zone for hours of fun. Some of our favourite local producers will be teaching you the tricks of the trade on how to make pasties, jams, chutneys or fudge! Take the grown-ups to our Indoor Food and Craft Market so they can get their hands on their favourite local treats such as tasty pies, local Lincolnshire cheeses and a whole range of homemade crafts and gifts.

Don’t forget to take a ride around the Showground on our popular tractor and trailer and get involved with our Easter egg hunt! You’re welcome to bring along a picnic for your day out at Countryside Lincs, but we also have plenty of hot and cold food on offer for our visitors.
