Our favourite family event, Countryside Lincs, is back on Sunday 14 April!

Join us for a fun-filled family day out with plenty of interactive indoor and outdoor activities and workshops to discover a flavour of food, farming and the countryside. Jam-packed with animals, activities, experiences and entertainment for all the family – it’s an event not to be missed!

Countryside Lincs is hosted by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, organisers of the Lincolnshire Show and held at the Lincolnshire Showground.

There will be eight different zones for children to explore around the Showground with demonstrations and hands-on workshops, plus an action-packed timetable of displays in the Countryside Ring.

With dozens of activities to get involved in across our indoor and outdoor zones, we promise a fun-filled day out for all of the family, whatever the weather.

Countryside Lincs is open from 10am to 4pm. Advanced tickets are on sale now for £32 for a family of five, £11 per adult, £6 per child (aged 5 -16) and under 5’s go free! Booking fees apply.

Sheep Walking with Nunny’s Farm

Fancy taking a sheep for a stroll? Visit Nunny’s Farm in the Farmyard Zone to meet lots of friendly sheep waiting for a walk!
Each session is 30 minutes. Places are strictly limited to 15 children per session.

- Hourly from 10:15am

    Alpaca Walking

    Come and meet Oriontree's Alpacas, where you can learn all about these fascinating creatures in the discovery tent; take an alpaca for a walk and even give them some treats.

    Storytelling with Rhubarb Theatre

    ‘Something Wonderful’ - It’s spring and our small red hen tells the other chickens ‘I’m going to do something wonderful’. ‘You!’ they laugh and strut away. But this touching tale shows how brave she is, and that wonderful things can come in small packages.
    Join Kirsty from Rhubarb Theatre for this fun and family friendly interactive story.

    Explore-It Zone

    Creature Ark – Animal Encounter

    Creature Feature- Come along and meet some of our wonderful creatures in engaging, educational presentations. Get up close and personal with animals ranging from reptiles, mammals and arachnids.

    - Sessions are every hour from 11am-3pm

    MAKE-IT ZONE

    Create a spring flower posy with Flowers by Suzanne

    Have a go at making a spring-themed flower posy with the florists from Flowers by Suzanne.

    - Sessions running every 30 minutes starting at 10:30am - 3pm
    Places are strictly limited to 12 children per session.
    Please book onto the floral workshop at the Event Information Desk in the EPIC Centre.

    The Sheep Show

    The Sheep Show returns to Countryside Lincs and this is a must see Show for all of the family!

    Edu-tainment at its best!  Learn all about sheep and wool.  Meet Nobby the Norfolk Horn, Susie the Southdown, plus friends and discover the different breeds of sheep, with a shearing demonstration too!

    2024 North Midlands Area of NAFAS Area ShowFloral Art and Design, including Photography Classe

    A new addition to Countryside Lincs, we are delighted to be collaborating with the North Midlands Area of NAFAS who are hosting their area show at the event. The theme for the Floral Art and Design schedule including photography classes is JOY – Celebrating the joy that flowers bring. Within the EPIC Centre, East Hall, you’ll see entries compete for The Best in Show, The Most Innovative Design, The Best Use of Colour, The Best Use of Garden Plant Material, The Public’s Choice and The Best Young Arrangers.

    Below you will find all the essential details to help you plan your day at Countryside Lincs..

    Opening Times
    The event is open 10:00am - 4:00pm.

    Ticket's

    Advanced tickets are on sale via SeeTickets only. The advance ticket rate is available until 21:00 on Saturday 13th April.

    Carer Tickets

    For information on how to apply for an advanced carer ticket please click here. Please note you need to have purchased any non-carer tickets via SeeTicktes before applying.

    On the event day we will allow one carer/personal assistant to access the event free of charge with supporting documentation. For documentation without photo ID we may ask to see photo ID on the day to prove the documentation belongs to you.

    Getting Here

    By Car

    Please enter the Showground via Gate 4 off Till Bridge Lane (A1500). Main routes to the event will be signposted. Please follow directions and comply with signage instructions.

    Parking
    Parking at Countryside Lincs is free. The car park for this event is the White Car Park, with entry through Gate 4. An area of car park near the entrance is the designated car park for disabled visitors with blue badges. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.

    Event Guide
    At the entrance to Countryside Lincs, make sure you pick up your free event guide. This booklet contains a map, exhibitor listing, timetables, entertainment and Easter trail for the little ones. Don’t forgot to collect your chocolatey treat when you have found all the Easter eggs!

    Child Safety
    When entering the event, you will be offered a child safety wristband to write your name and number on.

    Wash Your Hands
    With lots of animals for you to meet at Countryside Lincs, it’s really important that you wash your hands with water and soap and dry them thoroughly after touching the animals and their surrounding fencing. There are lots of hand-washing facilities located around the event and in the Farmyard Zone, please use them regularly during your visit. Please note that hand sanitising gels are not a substitute for washing hands with water and soap.

    Eating and Drinking
    You are welcome to bring a packed lunch, or there are lots of places to grab a coffee or bite to eat around the Showground! A variety of catering units with a seating area is available outside.

    Facilities
    Toilets and baby changing facilities are available throughout the Showground, please see our event map for further information.

    Accessibility
    Countryside Lincs is sited on level grass and hard standing so is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

    Cash
    Most exhibitors will accept cash and card. Please note, some exhibitors may only accept cash so please bring cash with you – there are no cash machines on site.

    Dogs
    Dogs are allowed at Countryside Lincs, except in any indoor areas and the Farmyard Zone, where we operate a strict no dog's policy. We politely ask that dogs are kept on a short, fixed lead at all times. Dogs should not be kept in vehicles unattended.

    Lost or Found Property
    Lost property will be collected at the event Information Point in the Epic centre. Please take items you find, or report lost items here. If you realise you have lost an item after the event, please email info@lincolnshireshowground.co.uk to enquire if we have found it.
